Patient Experience Survey 2014/15 is now closed.
Patient Experience Survey 2014/15 is now live:
The survey is available to complete on this website and also in paper form within the surgery. In addition there are flyers in the surgery with the survey url on, for patients to take away if they wish to complete it later.
Patient Access new features:
Immunisation, Allergy and Medication history have now been made available online to patients who have activated and log in to Patient Access. No additional log in is required, the information is available right now and can be viewed by clicking "View your medical record" once logged in.
Online Test Results Update:
Having enabled this feature on some test patients and evaluated it we are concerned the high level of information it shows may confuse or cause some patients distress. Intepreting results is not always a simple case of it being normal or abnormal, numerous other factors must be considered. In its current form there could be situations where a patient sees their result online before a GP has been able to action it or discuss it with the patient. Until there are controls to allow us to show results in a more clear, concise and simplified manner we dont feel it would be beneficial to activate it in its current format.
We are however looking to activate some of the other features now available such as Immunisations, Allergies and Medication. The next update to our clinical system should allow us to switch these features on with no additional registration or password requirements (your existing log in details will allow you access once we have the update).
Action Plan Update:
The facility to message the surgery has now been in place for some time.
The trial of sending test results texts to patients has begun.
Displaying of photographs and areas of speciality in reception is underway as part of another improvement in progress (we are adding new signs and a map of the building layout to make it easier for patients to find consulting rooms).
Q&A section to answer common questions/misunderstandings has been added to both the website and is also on display on a new PPG Noticeboard within the surgery.
Facility for patients to check their test results online is underway and is currently being configured and assessed.
Saturday opening (every Saturday) was discussed at the practice meeting. It was concluded that in the current financial climate it simply wasnt viable until additional funding becomes available.
