Repeat Prescriptions
Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
We now offer a new service, Electronic Prescriptions. If you wish to use it, you can now nominate a prefered pharmacy (where you want us to send your prescriptions to). We will send your prescription directly and securely to your nominated pharmacy electronically, without the need to print the paper prescription. You can then collect your medication from your pharmacy without any need to collect a paper prescription from the surgery.
Don't worry if you do not wish to use this service, you can continue to collect your prescriptions in person from us at the surgery. But, for many patients it will make obtaining their medications much easier as they no longer need to visit the surgery to collect a paper prescription. You could for example nominate a pharmacy near your place of work. Order a repeat online, and then be able to collect your medication direct from the local chemist saving you time. You can nominate any "EPS" compliant pharmacy, anywhere.

Requests made before 11:00 will be ready for collection after 14:00 the following working day. Requests made after 14:00 will be ready two working days later.
** Patients who have nominated an EPS pharmacy may well find their request is ready to collect the same day. We can not however guarentee this, in which case the usual timescale applys.
Emis Patient Access Apps
If you have already registered for Patient Access online services why not download the Patient Access App to you smartphone / tablet.
The App has all the features of Patient Access (view/book/cancel appointments, order repeats, message us e.t.c) but with the added convenience of being able to use it anywhere, anytime. No need to have access to a computer.
If you have also nominated an EPS pharmacy you can order you repeats using the App (e.g while you are at work) and could collect your medication from your pharmacy, possibly on the same day, (see note above**) without needing to come to or contact the surgery.

Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.
